Restore Visibility Settings in Documents

To reduce issues caused by the use of Global and Catalog Specific sections in Strato Document Generation, the behavior of the Visibility setting under Section Settings has been modified.

Requirements

Familiarity with Section Settings in Strato Document Generation is required.

Functionality

Behaviors when using Global and Catalog Specific sections in your templates have also been changed to the following:

• Existing sections with visibility set to Document Template Specific cannot be changed to Catalog Specific or Global.
• Existing sections with visibility set to either Catalog Specific or Global can be changed to Document Template Specific, or they can retain their original visibility settings.
• When reusing Catalog Specific or Global sections to a template, they are automatically set to Document Template Specific and cannot be changed. All duplicate published version entries are also cleared, leaving only one definitive published version.
• New sections created are automatically set to Document Template Specific and cannot be changed.

Essentially, these new behaviors will force all sections to be Document Template Specific moving forward.
