SuccessFactors Workflow

The SuccessFactors Workflow Trigger allows you to start a Workflow when a specific SuccessFactors Workflow reaches a specific status, step, or event.


Requirements

Basic knowledge of SuccessFactors Workflows is required.


Trigger Properties

Name
The name of the Trigger as it appears in the Workflow Editor. By default, this is set as SuccessFactors Workflow.
Description
A short description of the Trigger. By default, this is set as "Trigger from SuccessFactors Workflow."
SuccessFactors Workflow
Select the SuccessFactors Workflow that will trigger the Strato Workflow.

Only the first 2,000 SF Workflows are shown in the list.

To raise this limit, you must file a change request by clicking the Contact Us link found in the Help page, or sending an email to [email protected].

Workflow Status

Select the status of the SuccessFactors Workflow that specifies when to trigger the Strato Workflow.

This field is ignored when Trigger at step level is enabled.
Trigger at step level
If enabled, the Strato Workflow will instead be triggered when the SuccessFactors Workflow reaches a designated approver or event. The approver or event can be selected through the dropdown that appears after enabling this option.
Parameter list

These are parameters automatically added from the SuccessFactors Workflow to be mapped and passed around to the Steps in the Strato Workflow. By default, three parameters are already defined:

  • empWfRequest/subjectId - Subject ID: Maps to Catalog Key
  • wfRequestId - Request ID: Maps to SuccessFactors Workflow ID
  • empWfRequestNav/effectiveDate - Effective Date: Maps to Effective Date
Parameters can be set to be required and encrypted by enabling their respective toggles. Additional parameters can be added using the Add Parameter button.
