Link a Catalog to Another Catalog
There are instances where a document created from one Catalog requires Fields from another Catalog. For example, a document created with the Application Catalog might need a Field that can only be found in the Employee Catalog.
A link between Catalogs can be created through the Add a link to a catalog function.
Requirements
Basic knowledge of Field Settings / Manager is required.
Instructions
- In the Field Settings, select the source Catalog where you will create a link to your target Catalog. For this article, the User Catalog will be the source and an External Datasource will be the target.
- Click Add a link to a catalog.

- The Add a link to a catalog window will appear. In the Source column, select a field to connect with the target. In the Target column, select your target Catalog, then select a field to connect with the source.

- Click Save. Your target Catalog should now be linked under the source Catalog.
