Request Files
The Request Files Step allows you to request PDF files from the recipient. The recipient can upload the files requested.
Functionality
- Notify recipients through email
- Attach another PDF file as supplemental document
- Set recipients through the User Group dropdown or an email defined using Static Text, Container or Step Export Parameter, or Datasource Field
- Require a password before allowing the recipient to upload PDF files if the recipient is set through email
Step Properties
Name | The name of the Step as it appears in the Workflow Editor. By default, this is set as Request File(s). |
Description | A short description of the Step. By default, this is set as "Step to upload a document." |
Send e-mail | If the field is set to Yes, an email will be sent to the recipients. |
Email Template | Allows you to select the Email Template to be generated and sent by this Step. Only shown when Send e-mail is set to Yes. |
Recipients | Allows you to assign recipients by:

Require Password | Only shown when Recipients is set to Email. If the field is toggled on, a password will be required before being allowed to upload PDF files. |
Input Parameters
Catalog Key | The user ID used when running this Step. |
Language | The language to be used when generating the email. |
Email Attachment | Allows you to select documents to be attached from a Container or a Step Export Parameter. |
Output Parameters
Parameter Name | The name of the Output Parameter. |
Parameter Description | A short description of the Output Parameter. This is what appears when selecting values from a Container or Step Export Parameter. |
Mandatory | If enabled, the Output Parameter will be set as required. |
Error Handling
The Error Handling tab allows you to define the actions to be executed when an error occurs in this Step.
Step Delay
The Step Delay tab allows you to set a specific time for the Step to execute.
Step Validity
The Step Validity tab allows you to set until when the Step is available, and define the actions to be executed afterwards.
