Arrange Folders
Strato introduces the Arrange Folders mode feature in File Management that allows administrators to customize the sequence of folders depending on their unique processes and requirements.
Features
Users can access the Arrange Folders mode feature in File Management. All adjustments made in the folder sequence will be reflected in the Storage Management and Storage Card in the Dashboard. The two rearranging methods that users can choose from are the Hold & Drag and Updating Number Sequence.
Hold & Drag
The Hold & Drag method allows users to move folders around and organize them to their desired sequence via a draggable icon, provided that the folders being rearranged are within the same page.
Updating Number Sequence
Users may rely on the Updating Number Sequence method when the folders they are organizing span across multiple pages. This method allows users to sort folders by editing the designated sequence number for each folder, depending on their order preference.
When users sort folders using this method, entering a number less than 1 (e.g., 0, -1, -5) will place the folder at the first position in the sequence. Entering a number greater than the last number on the sequence will place the folder in the last position in the sequence.
Users may also perform the Reset Sequence action to revert folders to their last saved sequence.
Reset Sequence
The Reset Sequence action button is both available in the View and Arrange Folders Mode. This action resets the column sorting or rearrangements applied in the folders to the latest saved sequence.

The Arrange Folders mode feature is also supported by a ‘Locking Mechanism’.
Locking Mechanism
Users may encounter the ‘Locking Mechanism’ in the Arrange Folders mode. This restriction is displayed via an error message that notifies users that the Arrange Folders mode is accessed by another user.
Locking Arrange Folders without Unlock Access
If the user remains inactive for fifteen minutes, the access to arranging folder sequence will be made available to other users.
Users can gain immediate access to the Arrange Folders mode feature from another user who currently has access and take control of the arrangement of folder sequence by clicking the ‘Unlock’ button displayed in the error message.
