New Features

Strato Platform

New Tool in Policies - Configurations

Administrators now have enhanced control over access with the new Configurations tool within Policies. This feature allows the creation of specific Policies for various Objects, such as Cards, People Hub, and Storage. Only authorized users can manage or view the relevant settings by selecting the appropriate objects within this tool.

Homepage Card Visibility

Users can now access cards on homepage based on assigned permissions, ensuring only content relevant to role and access level is visible. By selecting specific cards within Policies, users gain access to the corresponding cards, such as Profile, People Hub, and News & Announcements. Cards that are denied for a user will not appear, providing a more personalized and secure interface.

Group Member Management

In People Hub, a new option for adding members to Groups has been introduced through the updated Group configuration, accessible under the Configurations section in the side panel. Administrators now have the capability to manually select users for inclusion in a group, which is an addition to the existing option of using Conditions and selecting from SuccessFactors RBP.

Groups Synchronization for Changes in SuccessFactors (SF) Role-Based Permissions (RBP)

Updates to SF RBP Groups are now synchronized with Strato whenever a synchronization is performed. Additions and removals of users in SF RBP Groups are accurately reflected in Strato Groups. Additionally, deleted SF RBP Groups are automatically removed from the SF RBP Group selection, ensuring that only active groups are available for use.

Groups Tab

A new Groups tab in the User Information screen is now available to provide administrators with a clear and searchable list of Groups associated with a user. The search bar allows filtering by Group Name or Description, while the Refresh button ensures up-to-date data is always displayed.

View Policies Assigned via Groups

The Policies tab in the User Information screen now displays Policies assigned manually or through Groups. The new Source column distinguishes Policies assigned directly to a user and those dynamically assigned via Groups.

Sync Action Button

A new Sync button is now available in the Properties tab of the User Information screen. This feature enables administrators to update User Property values to match the most recent data, directly from SuccessFactors, based on system configuration.

People Hub Configuration Access

Access to Configurations in People Hub is now managed through assigned Policies. Objects such as Groups, Properties, and Policies are displayed only when included in a Policy, while denied objects remain hidden.

Import and Export Authorization Framework Objects

Authorization Framework Objects, including Groups, Policies, and User Properties, can now be imported and exported through Package Manager. In the current version, this process would export all available objects from the source system.

Strato Document Management

Multiple Files Upload to an Employee

Uploading multiple files to an employee is now supported, with the option to edit file details such as Category and Destination Folder before uploading. In-progress uploads can be canceled, and corrupted files are automatically rejected. Additionally, a 20MB size limit is enforced for each file, enhancing the efficiency of the upload process.

Delete Action for Files

Deletion of files is now supported, both individually and in batches. The Delete option is available through the More Actions menu for single files and as a mass action when multiple files are selected.

Storage Configuration Access

Configurations access in Storage is now managed based on the assigned Policy. Objects such as Folders, Categories, Rules, Properties, and Locations are displayed only if selected in a policy, while denied objects are hidden, ensuring access is limited to authorized users.

Enhanced Search with Non-English Characters

File Search now supports non-English characters (e.g., รค, รฑ, and รŸ), enabling accurate retrieval of files. Both Basic and Advanced searches recognize special marks on characters (diacritic variations) and normalized forms. This allows files to be found even if these marks are missing or spelled differently, such as searching for "resume" and still finding "rรฉsumรฉ".

Other Updates and Corrections Delivered

Strato Platform

Groups and Roles Name Translation Error
[Component: Package Manager]

A code change ensures Groups and Roles creation and translations are accurately mirrored during imports, resolving mismatches in Role and Group names after copying due to incomplete transfers.

System Creation Error
[Component: Admin Tool]

To resolve the error encountered by users that prevented system creation, a code change was made to adjust the process. This change ensures that new systems can now be created successfully without encountering issues related to settings.

Strato Document Management

Special Characters Upload Issue
[Component: Storage Management]

To resolve the error that occurred when uploading files containing special characters, such as Polish characters (e.g., "ล„", "ล›", "ฤ‡"), the system now expects files to be in a specific format (UTF-8), which supports these characters. This change ensures the accurate display and upload of all file names, allowing proper handling of files with accented or non-standard characters.

Missing Metadata in Uploaded Files
[Component: Categories, Properties]

The missing Metadata in uploaded files was addressed by using a consistent identifier (Record ID). This update ensures metadata is accurately recognized and retained across environments.

Upload Fails with Metadata Changes
[Component: Storage Management, Properties]

A code change was made to handle Effective Date formats accurately during Metadata updates. This resolved issues caused by invalid date format conversions, ensuring successful uploads regardless of the language setting of the browser, including German.

Strato Document Generation

Footer Image Visibility Issue
[Component: Document Template, Email Template]

The width calculation of the footer image has been adjusted to ensure the image size is properly defined, allowing the footer image to be correctly displayed in downloaded documents. This resolves the issue where the image was invisible despite appearing correctly in the Preview action and Workflow Steps.

Document Generation Error
[Component: Document Generation; Platform - Dashboard, Field Settings]

A code change was made to ensure that only valid fields are included during document generation. This resolved errors caused by the inclusion of unavailable fields when Employee Central is disabled in SuccessFactors and the Employee Catalog is deactivated.
