Strato 2025-21
The 2025-21 release delivers key enhancements that improve clarity, consistency, and usability across Strato.
A major highlight of this release is the introduction of readable Successfactors Picklist labels in Strato Document Management New Experience (V2). Users will now see familiar, readable labels instead of technical IDs when selecting from a list of options for a Picklist-based property during the upload, viewing, or editing of a file. This enhancement ensures that Picklist-based properties are always easy to interpret, improving the overall user experience across the Strato New Experience.
In addition to this enhancement, the release includes numerous bug fixes and stability improvements to further streamline performance and reliability throughout the platform.
Together, these updates make Strato more intuitive and user-friendly, helping teams work with greater confidence and efficiency.
See all of these new features and enhancements documented in detail below:
Enhancements
Strato Document Management
Readable SuccessFactors Picklist Labels
Users will now see readable labels instead of technical IDs for SuccessFactors Picklist-based properties throughout the Strato New Experience.
When selecting from a list of options for a Picklist-based property during the upload, viewing, or editing of a file, Picklist-based properties will now appear as familiar terms, such as “Employee”, rather than system codes, like “4662”. If a label cannot be retrieved, a blank output will be displayed, keeping information consistent.
This enhancement improves clarity when managing file properties and ensures that property values are always easy to interpret.
Other Updates and Corrections Delivered
Strato Platform
Error When Validating Web Service Client Settings
[Component: Strato Admin Tool]
Users encountered an error when enabling the Web Service Client Settings in the Strato Admin Tool, even if the configuration was previously correctly configured before. This occurred due to recent changes in how Strato manages SuccessFactors authentication keys.
The validation process has been updated so that SuccessFactors authentication keys are now retrieved directly from the backend, ensuring the validation completes successfully.
Error in Strato Reporting When Viewing or Exporting Data
[Component: Strato Reporting]
Users encountered an error when changing the “rows per page” setting or exporting data to a CSV file in Strato Reporting. This happened when a user comment in the report exceeded the supported character limit, causing the report to fail to load or export properly.
The system has been updated to support comment values of up to 1,000 characters in the User Decision field, ensuring that reports now load and export correctly even when longer comments are included.
Confirmation Message Not Resetting After Uploading or Editing a File
[Component: People Hub]
Users would occasionally see a “Changes you made may not be saved” message after uploading a file or editing file details in People Hub. This occurred because the File Upload or Edit form did not properly reset its state after a successful upload or edit, causing the system to think there were still unsaved changes.
The form now correctly resets when closed or when navigating to a different folder, ensuring users no longer see unnecessary warnings.
Import Error in Package Manager
[Component: Package Manager]
Package imports failed when a Workflow or document template contained custom formula fields that used other fields in conditions. The system incorrectly treated identical fields as separate ones, causing duplicate entries during import.
The import logic has been updated to properly recognize and skip duplicate fields, ensuring that packages with custom formula fields now import successfully without errors.
Duplicate Field Group Errors During Package Creation
[Component: Package Manager]
An issue was resolved where re-enabling a previously disabled parent field group could create duplicate subfield groups. This caused package creation errors when the affected fields were used in linked catalogs.
The system now correctly filters and retrieves only active field group records, preventing duplicate entries from being created after re-enabling a parent group. With this fix, packages that include re-enabled field groups can now be created without errors or duplication issues.
Strato Document Management
Inconsistent Property Order Between Strato Document Management New Experience and V1
[Component: File Information]
An issue was resolved where the properties in Strato Document Management New Experience appeared in a different order than in V1, causing inconsistency when viewing the file information of documents.
This occurred because the system did not apply sorting logic to the property list in the Strato New Experience. The issue has been fixed by introducing sorting based on each property’s defined sequence, ensuring that properties now appear in the correct and consistent order across both versions.
Strato Document Generation
Empty Form Fields Not Appearing in Form Templates
[Component: Form Templates]
Empty form fields in form templates were not appearing in the final document when conditions such as “does not equal” or “does not contain” were used. This happened because the system skipped certain validation rules when a form field was left blank, and has been fixed by updating the validation logic to ensure that conditions are still checked, even when a field is empty. As a result, empty form fields now display correctly in the final document, as expected.
Incorrect Warnings in Document Templates
[Component: Document Templates]
Some document templates displayed red warning symbols labeled “This field is disabled” during review steps. This happened when templates contained copied custom fields from another system. Even though the fields existed and worked correctly, the system could not properly recognize them, causing the warning to appear.
This has been fixed by updating how Strato identifies and links fields across systems. Strato now matches fields by their name, path, and entity instead of relying on system-specific IDs. As a result, templates imported from other systems will now display the correct fields without unnecessary warnings.
Issue When Generating Document Template from SuccessFactors
[Component: Document Templates]
An issue was resolved where a document template failed to generate when launched from SuccessFactors using the Take Action menu. The page would load indefinitely without showing any results or error messages. The problem occurred due to missing authentication data required during document generation when accessed through custom navigation.
This has been fixed by refining how Strato handles optional authentication details during document generation. Users can now successfully generate document templates from SuccessFactors through the Take Action menu without delays or errors.
Inconsistent Spacing in Conditional Text Fields
[Component: Document Preview]
Spaces would appear incorrectly in templates using conditional text, either missing or showing extra spaces in document previews or PDF downloads. This has been fixed so that the system now correctly maintains spacing whether or not a condition is met, ensuring that text alignment and spacing remain consistent in all templates.
This applies to templates updated from version 2025-20 onward. Templates from older versions will retain their original behavior to prevent unexpected layout changes.
