Create and Configure Digital Signature Fields

Digital Signature Fields hold and contain information coming from digital signature applications like Adobe Acrobat Sign, Docusign, and Strato Sign

This article explains how to create and configure Digital Signature Fields.


Requirements

Basic knowledge of Field Settings / Manager is required.


Instructions

  1. In the Field Settings, select the Catalog and Field Group where you want to create a new field.
  2. If the Catalog or Field Group has already assigned e-signature information, skip to step 4. If not, from the configuration panel below, click Assign E-Signature Information under the Actions section.


  3. Set the Fields for the following information in the E-Signature Information section. Then, click Save.



  4. Click Create A New Field.


  5. The Create A New Field window will appear. Enter a name for the Digital Signature Field, and set the Field Type to E-Signature.


  6. Select the Field Data Type from the following options:


    • Signature: Stores the actual signature.
    • Date Signed: Stores the date information when the document is signed.
    • Full Name: Stores the full name of the signatory or the person who signed.
    • Signature ID: Stores the unique identifier for the signature.

  7. Optionally, you can set the Template Parameter to only be available for your selected Field Group by enabling the Only for this Field Group? toggle.


  8. After configuring your Digital Signature Fields, click Save.
