Upgrade Center

The Upgrade Center allows the users to access and install the Alpha and Beta versions of the enhancements during their ongoing development. This allows users to explore upcoming features in advance and provide feedback that can be incorporated into the development of these new features.

Access

Strato V1

To access the Upgrade Center and install and uninstall Alpha and Beta features, the user must have a user role with the following authorizations in User Management:

  • Can access upgrade center
  • Can install and uninstall alpha
  • Can install and uninstall beta

Once the user has the required permission, the user can access the Upgrade Center via the User Settings on the Strato homepage.

Strato New Experience (V2)

Users can access Upgrade Center via the Strato App Menu Bar.


Features

Features List

When you open the Upgrade Center, you will see the list of features and their details.

By default, five columns are shown:

  • Feature Name: Unique name for each feature. Each feature name is hyperlinked with its corresponding help center article for further details and reference.
  • Tool: The Strato component that the feature affects. This can either be Automate (Workflows), Documents/Forms, Platform, or Storage.
  • Last Changed On: The most recent date and time when the feature was installed or uninstalled.
  • Version: The current stage of development of the feature. This can either be Alpha, Beta, or Released.
  • Status: The current status of the feature. This can either be Installed or Uninstalled.

Install and Uninstall Features

The Upgrade Center allows users to install and uninstall Alpha and Beta features by hovering over a feature and clicking the corresponding button.

For example, installing the New Design - Workflow Editor feature will allow the enhancement to automatically take effect upon refreshing.

Installing a feature will display Installed as its Status, and reflect the Last Changed On date and time. Users can uninstall the feature by hovering over it and clicking Uninstall.


Alpha and Beta Versions

There are various stages of feature availability within the Upgrade Center: Alpha, Beta, and Released. Each represents a distinct level of functionality, maturity, and stability.

  • Alpha: The feature is still in active development and serves as an early version for initial feedback. Limited testing has been completed, and the goal is to gather insights that will help shape the final version.
  • Beta: The feature is technically complete and stable enough for early use. While some components may still be under active development, the feature is suitable for use by select users.
  • Released: The feature has completed all development and testing and is generally available. It is automatically deployed and available to all users without requiring manual installation.
