New Feature - Authorization Framework Integration with Configurations

The Authorization Framework Integration with Configurations provides a more robust control over how users interact with the tools across the system.

When enabled, this integration allows Policies from Authorization Framework to replace the existing User Management authorizations for defining the level of access and control users have across the system.

This feature is currently in Beta. Features are mostly complete, but may still be subject to change.

Users can install this feature in the Upgrade Center.

Installing this feature requires the following to be installed in the Upgrade Center:


Functionality

With the current integration, you can configure Policies using the Authorization Framework to control access to a comprehensive set of objects across Strato.

Specifically, the framework supports control over the following action:

  • List: Grant or restrict access to view objects and their associated subcomponents. These objects include:
    • Cards: This controls the Cards available in the Strato Homepage.
      • Profile
      • All Files
      • People
      • News and Announcements
      • Reporting
    • People: This controls the available options in the Configurations drawer in People Hub.
      • Groups
      • Properties
      • Policies
    • Storage: This controls the available options in the Configurations drawer in Storage.
      • Folders
      • Categories
      • Rules
      • Properties
      • Locations
