Package Manager
The Package Manager tool streamlines the configuration process in Strato by giving authorised users the option to add, import, and export packages. Using the Package Manager, customers can have a simpler process in creating multiple implementations of Strato, whether they are for development, testing, or production.
Requirements
Make sure that Package Manager is enabled in the Strato Admin Tool.
Your permissions and roles in User Management determine whether you can access Package Manager. Contact your Strato administrator if you need assistance with these permissions.
Features
Create Packages
Users can create package solutions using the Package Manager. These package solutions include package information, which are contents that may consist of the following Strato system components:
- Components from Strato Platform, including:
- Fields from Datasource Catalogs, SAP via Easy Reporter, and External Datasources
- User Groups
- Roles
- Dashboards
- Components from Library, including:
- Components from Storage, including:
Import and Export Packages
Using the Package Manager, you can import and export solution packages from one system to another. This enables you to share solutions with others, or transfer solutions to a different environment. Note that the same version for both source and target systems must be used when importing and exporting packages.
