Navigate Field Settings / Manager
This article explains how to navigate Field Settings / Manager.
Requirements
Basic knowledge of Field Settings / Manager is required.
Your permissions and roles in User Management determine whether you can access Field Settings / Manager. Contact your Strato administrator if you need assistance with these permissions.
Features
General

- Catalogs: Select a Catalog to display in the Field Settings. These Catalogs are grouped into three:
- SF: Catalogs coming from SuccessFactors.
- SAP: Catalogs coming from SAP On-Premise via Easy Reporter.
- EXT: Catalogs coming from external datasources like CSV files and Google Sheets spreadsheets.
- Actions: Three actions are available:
- Switch view: Change how the Fields and Field Groups are displayed from tree to list and vice versa.
- Setup Easy Reporter catalog: Configure your Easy Reporter fields. Only available if Easy Reporter is installed on your SAP On-Premise system and configured in the Strato Admin Tool.
- Update Fields: Sync your Fields and Field Groups with SuccessFactors to get the latest data.
- Import external data: Import data from CSV files or Google Sheets spreadsheets to use as Catalogs or External Datasources in Strato.
Field Group Details
When you click on a Field Group, you can see the following details under the Details section:

- Description: The name of the Field Group.
- API Path: The technical name of the Field Group, and its path starting from the root.
- Enabled: Toggle to enable or disable the Field Group.
- Sort by Field: Select a Field to sort all of the values in the Field Group.
- Sort Direction: Select how the values will be sorted based on the Field selected in Sort by Field. This can either be in ascending or descending order.
- Link to Data Source Workflow: Toggle to enable Data Source Workflow for the Field Group. This toggle is only available in the User and Employee Catalogs.
- Set as Datasource for Dropdown Form Field: Toggle to allow Easy Reporter reports as datasource for Dropdown Form Fields. This toggle is only available in the Easy Reporter Catalog.
- Cache: Toggle to enable caching the Easy Reporter reports. Only available when Set as Datasource for Dropdown Form Field is enabled.
Field Group Actions
These are the following actions you can do to Field Groups.


Show Toggle | When activated, switches for all Field Groups are shown. These switches let you quickly enable or disable Field Groups. ![]() |
Sort Field Groups | When activated, sorting options for all Field Groups are shown. You can move the Field Group's priority by either dragging the arrow icon on the right side of the Field Group or typing a number on the left side of the Field Group. ![]() |
Enabled Only | When activated, only active Field Groups are shown. |
Show API Path | When activated, the API paths for each Field Group are shown under the Field Group's name. ![]() |
Sync | Sync and refresh the selected Field Group with SuccessFactors. |
Assign/Remove E-Signature Information | When activated, e-signature information can be configured for the Field Group. This allows integration with e-signature applications like Adobe Acrobat Sign, Docusign, and Strato Sign. You can remove e-signature information from the Field Group as well by clicking Remove E-Signature Information. |
Add/Edit/Delete Easy Reporter Link | Only available for the following Catalogs:
If Easy Reporter is activated, this option enables linking Easy Reporter reports to your Strato Document Generation templates. You can edit or delete the linked Easy Reporter report by clicking Edit or Delete Easy Reporter Link. |
Create A New Field | Create a new Field in the selected Field Group. |
Add a Link to a Catalog | Link the selected Field Group to another Catalog. |
Create Merged Field Groups | Create a Field Group by merging two other Field Groups. |
Field Actions
These are the following actions you can do to Fields.

Search | Search for Fields in the Field Group. |
Navigation Controls | Allows you to navigate between pages. You can go to the previous page, next page, or jump to a specific page. |
Enabled Only | When activated, only active Field Groups are shown. |
Show Field Names | When activated, the technical names for each Field are shown under the Field's name. ![]() |
Preview As / Show Field Values | Select a person whose information are previewed and shown after clicking the Show Field Values button. |
Delete / Edit | Delete or edit custom Fields you have created. Not applicable to Fields coming from SuccessFactors. |
Key | Highlights that the Field is a key field, a Field that is used to uniquely identify records in the Field. |
Sort Fields | Move and rearrange the Field's priority by either dragging the arrow icon on the right side of the Field or typing a number on the left side of the Field. ![]() |
